I am so excited to begin my fourth year as principal at Silverlake Elementary and look forward to continuing to build relationships with our students, parents, and families! My husband, Michael, and I have lived in Pearland for the last 18 years with our three wonderful boys. Andrew, our oldest, is a recent Pearland High School graduate who will be a Sophomore at Texas Tech University this year. Our middle son, Nathan, is 16 years old and will be a Junior at Pearland High School. Our youngest son, Graham, is 11 years old and will be a 6th grader at Sablatura Middle School this year. As a family we enjoy spending time together with friends and extended family, traveling, and working on DIY projects.

This school year marks my 24th year in education, and I am excited to be continue serving the students and families at Silverlake Elementary. Prior to coming to Silverlake, I served in Alvin ISD as Principal at Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary for 5 years. In addition to this experience, I served in Pearland ISD and Pasadena ISD as a teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, and assistant principal.

I am passionate about literacy and have a strong desire to create life-long readers and learners. I believe that all children can learn and make progress when the instruction is purposeful, engaging, rigorous, and student centered. As an instructional leader, it is my responsibility to ensure that this occurs in every classroom.
