Hello Stars!

I am Krystle Smith, your school counselor at Silverlake Elementary. This is my 14th year in education and my first as a school counselor. I have taught PreK, First, Second, and Third Grade, and for the last four years, I worked as a Resource/Inclusion and Dyslexia Teacher.

My husband and I are raising our three boys, including fraternal twins, in Pearland. I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends when I'm not busy with their sports.

As the school counselor, I conduct monthly guidance lessons focused on our character trait of the month. I also meet with students in small groups or individually to address specific needs such as making friends, anger management, anxiety and other topics. Students are referred to me by teachers or parents/guardians for small group or individual counseling.
